Serie della Play Press dedicata a Superman che
presenta le avventure dell'Uomo d'Acciaio successive a "La Morte di Superman". 
La serie, a cadenza quindicinale,
inizia nel novembre del 1997 e si conclude dopo 124 numeri nel luglio del 1999.
I numeri 19, 43, 67, 91, 113 e 124
sono doppi e includono nella numerazione il mancante numero successivo.

La serie parte con il botto, le prime
run sono “Funerale per un amico” ed “Il Regno dei Superman” e proseguirà per diversi anni
proponendo buona parte delle avventure narrate nelle serie regolari di Superman (ai tempi erano ben quattro: Action
Comics, Adventures of Superman, Man Of Steel e Superman, a cui si aggiungerà anche Man Of Tomorrow). Tra le storie
più importanti: “Mondo Bizzarro”, la battaglia e la distruzione di Metropolis, i crossover legati ad
“Ora Zero”, la saga “Seconda Morte” con il ritorno di Brainiac, “la morte di Clark
Kent”, “Il processo a Superman” ed infine i crossover con “One Million” che hanno chiuso
la serie nel n° 125.
Ciclicamente troveranno spazio anche le serie dedicate ai comprimari: ovvero Superboy e
